Your Mission in Funcom
As part of the Specialized QA team, you’ll operate at the intersection between development and full functional validation. Your role will focus on ensuring that new features and systems integrate seamlessly into the broader game environment, maintaining both technical stability and gameplay consistency.
You’ll work closely with DevQA, LiveQA, Automation and Production teams to ensure that what reaches large-scale testing is robust, reliable, and ready.
How you can have an impact in your position:
- Writing and executing test suites dedicated for automation.
- Ensuring feature validation in context – checking that new content integrates properly with related systems (e.g. progression, rewards, balance, dependencies).
- Preparing, running, and validating automation scripts in staging.
- Running early regression checks to identify issues in impacted areas.
- Providing feature readiness reports.
- Supporting regular calibration and syncs within DevQA and Production teams by writing and executing test suites to check for interdependencies between systems.
- Applying SCRUM methodology in line with project set goals.
- Where needed, offer support for all QA processes.
We are looking for you to have:
- 3–5 years of experience in Quality Assurance.
- Proactivity and eagerness to learn new things.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Comfortable with debugging tools, interpreting logs, writing scripts/automation, reading configs, and working with data analytics.
- Understands dependencies across gameplay and content (monetization, story, level art/level design, economy, combat, AI, UX).
- Experience working with SDLC methodology.
- Previous console knowledge is a plus.
- Experience with Unreal Engine and Visual Studio is a plus.
- Strong understanding of automation processes is a plus.
- A technical background and experience with C++, SQL and/or Python is a plus.
