Your Mission in Funcom
As an Automation Scripter Intern, you'll dive deep into our automation pipeline, learning its objectives and requirements. You'll use your technical skills and creativity to create and maintain existing scripts and pipelines.
This role offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of our game development process for a 6-months period, ensuring our games are of the highest quality.
How you can have an impact in your position:
- Participate in automating the testing process of all parts of our game's development.
- Create and maintain automation scripts.
- Work with logs, requirements, and technical documentation.
- Maintain documentation and provide support for the scripts you manage.
- Ensure that automation scripts meet user requirements and project standards.
- Take part in sprint planning meetings and contribute to the agile development process.
- Communicate with the team to gather requirements, analyze functionality, and report test results.
- Collaborate actively with development teams to ensure seamless integration of automation scripts.
We are looking for you to have:
- Passion for video games and a keen interest in the gaming industry.
- Curiosity about scripting and programming, with a desire to learn and grow.
- Familiarity with programming tools and languages (e.g., Lua, C++, Python, etc).
- Familiarity with game engines such as Unreal, Unity is also a bonus.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or currently pursuing a Master’s degree.
- Proficiency in English.
- Strong motivation, quick learning ability, and excellent communication skills.
- Positive and professional attitude.
- Strong analytical and structured problem-solving abilities.
