Your Mission in Funcom
As a Junior Data Quality Analyst, you will contribute to ensuring the quality of our games by leveraging insights gained through analytics.
You will contribute by designing, evaluating, and performing tests on game telemetry; reporting issues; assisting developers in identifying, isolating, and reproducing bugs; and collaborating with development and analytics teams to ensure the data generated is accurate, reliable, and actionable.
How you can have an impact in your position:
- Develop and enforce quality standards for data cleansing, monitoring, and reporting.
- Own the telemetry QA area, ensuring all checks are properly designed and executed by both the QA team and yourself.
- Perform root cause analyses to efficiently identify and engage the appropriate stakeholders for issue resolution.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Developers, Testers, and Analysts to deliver tasks on time and at the expected level of quality.
- Maintain the functionality of telemetry systems by developing a deep understanding of their architecture and associated requirements.
- Report test results, provide regular updates, and escalate concerns to relevant stakeholders when necessary.
We are looking for you to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Operational Research, Business Intelligence, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 1 year of professional experience as a Data Analyst.
- Proficiency in SQL (or a SQL-like language) is required.
- Knowledge of data analysis techniques, languages, and tools (e.g., R, Python).
- Experience using analytics visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Skilled in modeling data for analysis and creating effective visualizations.
- Inquisitive mindset with a strong desire to learn with experienced professionals.
- Professional attitude with a proactive, self-driven, meticulous, and curious nature.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- A genuine passion for video games.
In addition, ideally, you might also have:
- Experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., TestRail, JIRA, Confluence).
- Familiarity with the testing lifecycle of a commercial game project, including alpha, beta, launch, and post-launch maintenance phases.
- Experience playing survival and RPG games such as Conan Exiles, ARK, Rust, 7 Days to Die, etc.
