Tools Programmer Internship
From critically acclaimed The Longest Journey to the very first sci-fi MMO Anarchy Online, to the brutal trials of Conan Exiles, our 30-year history has set our players uniquely up for a journey to the harsh world of Dune, where the continual battle for survival and spice will bring a challenge that is Legendary.
If you’re entering your final BA semester within a game dev-related program and want to step into the exciting world making games, then joining our Oslo studio might be the right choice for you.
You will not only get the chance to work with seasoned experts and mentors, but also have a real impact on games like Conan: Exiles, or on our ambitious upcoming Open World Survival MMO, Dune: Awakening.
Time, place, and extra information:
Your internship will span from January to May 2024 (exact timing to be determined by your university), and will take place in our Oslo studio, located on Kirkegata 15, 0153. Unfortunately, we cannot provide accommodation.

We’re the oldest and biggest game developer in Norway, with 30 years of experience and more than 25 titles published, such as Metal: Hellsinger, Conan Exiles, or Secret World Legends, just to name a few.
Now, more than 470 people from about 36 different nationalities work and play at Funcom across our five studios located in Oslo, Lisbon, North Carolina, Stockholm, and Bucharest.
A bit about the position
Intern position for someone that want's to work with tools behind the game. Has an interest for build systems and learning how our tools gets from source code to a finalized packaged game on steam.

what a Tools Programmer will typically do:
In this position, your responsibilities will be to create and maintain our source control infrastructure, help to make software building and deployment easier, design scripts and tools used for software deployment, and seamlessly integrate updates of the software using continuous delivery pipelines.
