The Funcom team consists of over 400 people located in 5 studios - Norway, the US, Portugal, Sweden and Romania. As part of Funcom’s ongoing growth, and completing a successful turnaround, Funcom is now backed by Tencent, the largest online gaming company in the world!
Now, we are looking for a Junior Business Development Manager to join us in our Lisbon studio.
How you can have an impact in your position:
- Actively seeking out and identifying new game development opportunities to expand our portfolio of published games, focusing specifically on PC and Console titles.
- Assisting in the development and execution of marketing and business development strategies.
- Managing relationships with our developer partners, ensuring communication lines are open and objectives are being met.
- Assisting in the negotiation and execution of game publishing contracts, working closely with the Publishing Director.
- Providing logistical and administrative support to the Publishing Director, including scheduling, preparing reports, and coordinating meetings.
We are looking for you to have:
- Fluent English
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar role preferably within the gaming industry.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong understanding of the PC and Console gaming market.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to analyze market trends and apply insights to our business strategy.
In addition, you might also have:
- Experience with game marketing and promotion.
- Familiarity with game development processes.
- Experience working with international teams.
- A strong passion for gaming and a deep understanding of what makes a game great.
