Producer - Outsourcing - DUNE

The Funcom team consists of over 400 people located in 5 studios - Norway, the US, Portugal, Sweden and Romania. As part of Funcom’s ongoing growth, and completing a successful turnaround, Funcom is now backed by Tencent, the largest online gaming company in the world!
We are looking for a Producer who will work with Executive Producer, Production Directors, other Producers, and discipline Leads to prioritize and manage complex organizational and executional issues and determine project resources as they pertain to Art outsourcing production
You will be responsible for the overall management and priorities for the direction and quality of Art Outsourcing assets for the game. Overseeing all Art outsourcing priorities, dependencies, and assets to ensure project goals are completed on time and on budget. Identifying and fixing bottlenecks and roadblocks.
How you can have an impact in your role:
- Work with Executive Producer, Production Directors, other Producers, and discipline Leads to prioritize and manage complex organizational and executional issues and determine project resources as they pertain to Art outsourcing production
- Work with other Producers/Associate Producers and Design & Art Leadership, and help them in solving management issues as they pertain to Art development, so outsourcing partners can deliver and maintain tight schedules and high standards of quality
- Identify and fix bottlenecks as they pertain to Art Outsourcing, as well as clear any roadblocks both on the day-to-day and in the longer term in collaboration with the Art Production Ddirector and Art Producers
- Be the representative of Art Outsourcing and our co-development partners within the management team. Ensure their priorities and needs are well understood by team leadership
- Oversee, coordinate, track, and manage all Art outsourcing priorities, dependencies, and assets to ensure project goals are completed on time
- Provide progress updates to the Executive Producer and production direction team, and coordinate with all other teams for the deliveries you have responsibility over
- Coordinate with Senior/Lead Producers in our other Funcom studios
- Assist with content creation for game development
- Assist with quality control of all products
We are looking for someone that has:
- 5+ years of game development experience from which at least 3 are in an internal development Production role
- Shipped at least 1 AAA game or 1 AA+ GaaS/Multiplayer in a production position
- A demonstrated understanding of various Project Management methodologies including Scrum/Agile, as well as good organizational skills and an ability to balance project demands with high quality
- Experience in working with distributed development and outsourcing
- A demonstrated ability to mitigate risk and prioritize features based on their cost and risk versus their value to the project
- Strong knowledge of Excel, Word, & PowerPoint
- Proficiency with project management tools such as JIRA
- The ability to drive teams of developers to ensure timely deliveries
- Good people skills, and approachable attitude toward colleagues and other stakeholders
- Excellent communicator in speech and writing
- A calm and deliberate approach within a highly dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Experience working with larger projects across multiple time zones and gathering feature requests from multiple stakeholders
- An understanding of open-world survival games, their feature and retention values, and the ability to make production decisions based on that understanding
- Ability to challenge and support the game producer, creative director, Business, and Marketing to ensure the quality of the connected game experience
- A passion for video games
In addition, the ideal candidate has:
- Experience managing external developers/resources
- Deep knowledge of game development processes for engineering, design, and art
- Experience with post-launch support and content updates
- Scrum Master certification
