Funcom Oslo is looking for a programmer to join the Lego Minifigures Online team in creating the user interfaces for the game.

Lego Minifigures Online is a cross platform, online, roleplaying game aimed at children and adults for PC, Mac, iOS and Android platforms and the User Experience and Interfaces of the game are extremely important for the overall quality of the game.

Character Artist Studio position 2015-09-01 Oslo

Funcom is now looking for an enthusiastic Character Artist to join a highly motivated team of talented developers and industry veterans working on a next-gen title.

Requirements for the position:

  • Highly proficient in the creation of high quality character assets through the use of Z-Brush, 3DsMax and PhotosProven track record in the creation and implementation of in game character
  • An understanding of anatomy, excellent organic modeling and an appreciation of how to build meshes that deform well when animated
  • Ability to work to a defined art style, technical specifications and spirit of the project
  • Proactive in the translation and development a character from brief or concept through to a quality finished in game product within a specified time frame.

Beneficial knowledge:

  • Rigging experience
  • Character conceptual and paint over skills
  • Traditional art skills
  • Scripting
  • Algorithmic Substance Painter

Common for all positions, you need:

  • To have good written and oral communication skills in English

Funcom’s DreamWorld Technology is a World Class MMORPG technology platform with high quality PC, Mac, iOS and Android graphics and features. We are working on expanding the engine to better support cross platform development and for development of efficient game authoring tools to power our current and future games.
