Funcom is looking for a talented rendering programmer with a keen interest in visual effects and solid knowledge of modern rendering approaches, to work on our upcoming games.

As part of our core technology team, you will design, write and optimize rendering features, working closely with the artists to help us create visually compelling experiences.

You will also be heavily involved in deciding how best to drive our visuals forward.

Requirements:

- Excellent knowledge of modern rendering algorithms and techniques.

- Excellent 3d Math skills.

- Demonstrated experience working on recent graphics APIs, such as d3d12/11/libGNM.

- Strong c++ and software design skills, including experience working in multithreaded and memory constrained environments.

- Strong communication skills (English is our working language).

- Contributed significant rendering technology on one or more released titles.

- A passion for visuals.

Desirable:

- Experience working with UE4

Funcom is looking for a talented and versatile engine programmer to work on our upcoming games.

Senior Game Programmer Conan Exiles 2016-10-10 Oslo

Funcom is looking for an enthusiastic, talented and versatile game programmer to join its development team in Oslo, working on the upcoming title «Conan Exiles», as well as future projects.

In this position you will be responsible for implementing major game features, working in close collaboration with the design team. You will also be expected to mentor and help more junior members of the team.

Requirements:

  • Excellent c++ skills.
  • Working knowledge of 3d Math/ trigonometry.
  •   Experience implementing gameplay systems such as AI, Ability Systems, RPG Systems, etc.
  •   Experience working on multiplayer games.
  • Strong communication skills (English is our working language).
  • Have interest in game design and be able to give input to designers to ensure good algorithmic choices.
  • 5+ years experience, including having worked on a released title from beginning to end.

Requirements for the position:

  • Experience creating and implementing sound effects using custom recordings and library material to generate highly original audio.
  • Experience working with dialogue recording/editing.
  • Experience with studio-technology, and knowledge about audio file formats and audio-production for interactive media.
  • In depth knowledge of industry standard audio applications such as Logic, Cubase, Pro Tools, Sound Forge, Wavelab, Waves plugins etc.
  • Solid understanding of the principles of game audio.
  • Experience with game engines such as Unreal Editor and Unity.
  • Ability to interpret direction and respond to feedback.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • 2 years Games Industry experience.

Preferred requirements for the position:

  • Experience using game audio middleware such as FMOD, Wwise.
  • Music production ability. (NB. This is not a composer position, but musical knowledge is preferred as the job may entail music editing).
