Graphics / Rendering Programmer Technology Team Oslo

Funcom is looking for a talented rendering programmer with a keen interest in visual effects and solid knowledge of modern rendering approaches, to work on our upcoming games.

As part of our core technology team, you will design, write and optimize rendering features, working closely with the artists to help us create visually compelling experiences.

You will also be heavily involved in deciding how best to drive our visuals forward.

Requirements:

- Excellent knowledge of modern rendering algorithms and techniques.

- Excellent 3d Math skills.

- Demonstrated experience working on recent graphics APIs, such as d3d12/11/libGNM.

- Strong c++ and software design skills, including experience working in multithreaded and memory constrained environments.

- Strong communication skills (English is our working language).

- Contributed significant rendering technology on one or more released titles.

- A passion for visuals.

Desirable:

- Experience working with UE4

Animator Conan Exiles Oslo

Funcom is looking for an enthusiastic, talented and versatile animator to join its development team in Oslo, working on the upcoming title «Conan Exiles», as well as future projects.

The animator will work closely together with the other animators and the combat team to create, implement and polish character combat and movement animations in 3dsMax and/or Motionbuilder and Unreal, as well as preferably rigging and skinning characters and monsters. The animator will also work together with effects artists, character artists, art director and programmers.

Requirements for the position:

  • Solid and recent experience as a keyframe animator
  • Proven expertise with 3dsMax, Maya, or equivalent animation software
  • Able to work in a team setting
  • To take direction from the animation director and art director, and to deliver consistently on time
  • Proactive, independent and self-driven

Preferred requirements for the position:

  • Games industry experience with at least one AAA game credit
  • Experience with motion capture animation
  • Experience with visual effects
  • Experience with Unreal or similar game engine
  • Experience with playing MMORPGs or other games

Graphics/Web Designer Multiple projects Oslo

Funcom is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Graphics/Web Designer to join a highly motivated team of talented developers and industry veterans at our studio in Oslo, Norway.

We are looking for an individual who can fulfill both roles as Graphics Designer and Web Designer.

In this position you will be responsible for designing and creating a wide range of visual assets and web experiences. As a Graphics Designer you will be creating materials such as banners, ads, infographics, CRMs and newsletters, posters, company profile assets, and much more. As a Web Designer you will create front-end web experiences including websites for our upcoming games.

We do not expect this candidate to be a web coder. We are looking for someone with a working knowledge of WYSIWYG web editors or web platforms such as Wix. Funcom already has internal web programming competence who will offer support on more advanced projects such as implementation of shop functionality or other systems requiring connection with a back-end.

  • Proven experience working with graphics design and web design

  • Solid proficiency with and understanding of various graphics software, primarily Photoshop, but knowledge of Illustrator is also a definite plus
